I’ve been a bit under the weather lately, but now I’m feeling pretty perky. While I was down under, I read an excellent article by one of my author friends, Art Carey. The title is: “Ten Ways to Find an Audience For Your Writing.” We all want an audience don’t we? In fact we must have one. Here’s a little soupcon of what you’ll find in the piece.
In his article Art includes basic resources such as:
• mom, friends, relatives
• critique groups
• writing clubs
Then he explains to writers how to:
• become members of National and International writers’ organizations including online groups
• review published books for various editors
• develop a platform by creating a website and a blog site.
Art Carey’s article is packed with lots of useful information and practical suggestions. It’s a great start toward your goal of finding an audience for your writing. You can find it in the May/June, 2011 issue of Writers’ Journal.
